I do my best to purchase meat items when they are marked down. I freeze them right away and it will keep for literally months. This may mean that your grocery bill is a little high in the beginning but it gets better. Then I buy fruits and vegies mark down or from a large market in summer and one year I spent $40.00 and filled my freezer with 10 spagetti squash, green beans, tomatoes, egg plant, carrots( I took some of the carrots they sell to hunters to lure deer-wonderful idea-20 pounds for $3.00 You need a lot of ambition and some time but if you plan well, you could even share with others who need some help---or share the cost and do together. Now you are set for meat and vegies Stock rice, potatoes,beans and make in large quantity and freeze. Your going to find that your $ really stretches this way. Thenj tomato sauces, beef broth from your meat. SAVE AND FREEZE. Cheese and chicken broth--YOU CAN MAKE ALMOST EVERY MEAL FROM THESE ITEMS. STOP BUYING OUT!!!!!!!!!OR GO OUT ONCE A MONTH FOR A TREAT BUT KEEP THE COST REASONABLE. and!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!plant a garden-try organic gardening. Make compost from leaves and branches in a few months you have nice rich soil. Hardest part is waiting!!!!! Hope this helps.
