The answer to this is very simple. He is no longer your boyfriend, so he is not your problem. Be honest with him and explain that you have no feelings for him and moved on in your life. If you no longer wish to have contact with him, tell him so.
I never recommend being immature or mean about it, but I'm sure you can get your feeling across in a respectful manner.
