My cat is 5 years old and very over weight (appox 30 + pounds)
He throws up most of the time right after i feed him
He is going the bathroom, just not as often
He is acting normally
His vomit is yellowish, most of the time contains food, and sometimes hair balls
I have tried feeding him in smaller amounts which works sometimes.

does he eat his food really fast?...if he does then its a common problem with cats. They fear not getting fed for a few days so they eat everything really fast and end up over stretching their stomach forcing everything back up. If it comes up as whole food that is the problem. You can help get rid of this or limit it by feeding him 1/2 of what he usually gets. (this will help him lose weight too)....then split that food in half and feed it to him about 20 mins apart. Do that twice daily. So if he gets 1 cup twice daily cut it in half (1/2 cup twice daily) and split that into 2 parts. 1/4 down, let him eat that then 20 mins later the other 1/4 cup. this will help him lose weight and help to slow down some common problems in overweight cats, like diabetes, which is VERY expensive. It will also slow him down for eating too fast. Goodluck and if you have any other questions feel free to email me.

p.s if it is not undigested food the vet is your best option. They can provide you with a hair ball diet to help get rid of those as well.

Don't panic. Listen to the advice of everyone before me and take your cat to a reputable vet. A good vet will give your cat a thorough exam and do some bloodwork. Tell the vet exactly how your cat is behaving. My family has two cats who are diabetic. Bunky and MamaKitty are sisters and they were acting the same as your cat. Does your cat drink a lot of water? Bunky and MamaKitty were drinking a lot of water but not going to the bathroom as much. We took the girls to the vet and found out they were diabetic. Bunky (who is still a big fat cat) and MamaKitty are both about 15 years and still going strong. The girls get 2 shots of insulin each, everyday. Once in the morning, once at night. Pretty simple really.

You could try feeding him smaller amounts all the time since it sounds like that would be good for him anyway. To be safe you should take the cat to the vet and have him checked out.

30+ lbs. is way too heavy. You need to be feeding him way less! You're going to kill him by feeding him to death.
