I'm actually going through the exact thing, almost. I've known this friend for about 8 years, so it's different. But why don't you ask him to a movie, just as a friend, at the movie theatre. Go in the way back, where nobody can hear you. Start talking to him, like friends would, and offer to share your popcorn. Kind of hint to him that you like him, and your both avaliable, like say,"I'm surprised we've never gotten together. Aren't you?" Just casually, not totally admit it, he probably will get the hint, and if he likes you, it could work out. Most likely, alot of guy and girl best friends never get together, but they would be perfect for eachother, they just don't realize it. I hope I helped, thanks.

First, you need to know (and really think about this!) do you actually like him, or was it just the thought of another girl having him that evoked these feelings? As long as you're sure you really feel something for him, go for it. Best friends sometimes make the best boyfriends, you already know you get along well. Be up front with him about it. Good luck!

You like him as a friend, and you are looking for a relationship. Those are two separate things, and you should keep them separate. Don't tell him how you feel, because it really isn't about him, its about you having feelings that you need to find someone to attach those feelings to. See what I mean? It's natural and normal. Try to find a way to meet some date-able new people.

Which is more important to you, your friendship or taking your relationship up a step? If you just want to stay friends then don't tell him. You will be close and stay the same. But if you tell him whats the worst thing that could happen?? I say tell him. who knows he just might like you too. then it would be a happy ending.

The first question is, is he looking?
Somehow marriage excludes most women from even looking at him. Even its a bad one that he can't ever get out of for various reasons. Even if he would just tell his wife anyway. Women have designed this sort of turture system for us I think.
Anyway, I think anybody who is looking is fair play.
If the are really happy, they wouldn't be looking.

Well it may bring you close together... But after you break up... IF you break up it would be extremely Awkward... you wouldn't really be able to be such good friends again... However if whenever you are around him you feel like you want to date him... then i say go for it.. and make it last.
