Um...that's a good premise, and its based on Biblical principles, but Christ didn't say that.

Actually, he said something along the lines of "What you go for the lowest of these, You do for me" So When Christians go to an impoverished country They are doing out of charity and love. And those people know how to farm and have the land, talk to someone over there sometime and find out the real reason they can't grow crops. After reading your earlier statement of conversion I think it might surpise you. Hope this helps, And by the way. The real Mr. T is an Ordained Minister

Christ did say that, but you must apply it to the circumstances. If you look in the Bible, Christ met the needs of the people He taught to before He would teach them. We see this demonstrated innumerous times in the Bible. When He fed 5,0000 with a couple of fish and loaves of bread. Not until after that did He preach to them through a parable. So yes, Christian Charity Groups give unconditionally, but they also share their faith and beliefs giving to others a foundation to start their future.

No, Jesus didn't say that. But, it is still a good idea. And you're right, missionaries really aren't teaching much at all to those people they are claiming to help. They give, and in return expect attendance to their sermons, etc... Which proves that nothing in this life is free.

They are doing that very thing. They teach the locals how to put together, use and maintain a working water pump that they provide; they show them how to raise crops and livestock, that they provide.
Who told you they were just giving? Oh sure they feed them, you can't let people who are days from starving take a course in basic livestock care, that's just ridiculous.

Not all do. Many teach them to plant crops, how to run businesses (small supply type stores etc.) and other means of survival. Watch the 700 Club and they will go into detail.

Your question has no meaning first of all you can't teach a nation in poverty how not to be in poverty. And if they are not living close to a river or lake what do expect can be taught to them they already know how to hunt. Why don't you go over to Africa and teach them instead of wasting your time asking dumb a*s questions.

I don't think that came from Jesus, but I am not sure.
If you are not a Christian and they are not harming anyone, why do you care?
If it bothers you, join them and offer your solutions. You would not even have to become a Christian. I am sure they would accept any help offered.
Or you can sit back and complain!
Peace!

Two wrongs don't make a right......but three lefts do.
South park teaches us that if we starve people enough and break their spirit we can make accept anything. F--k if I had enough corn meal I'd make them built a statue of my golden retriever and worship dog. Everybody would think they are dyslexic.

You are mistaken Mr. T. Christian Charities do indeed teach - however, they teach you how to praise God, rather than how to catch fish.... So I caught your drift. Thanks for sticking up for me on that last posting about my comments re: Christain charities. Ill always be on your side too my man!
