Do you think all this text writing is going to damage kids learning of english etc,
Im reading questions on here and i sometimes really cant work out what they are saying!!! you really have to read it carefully to realise what they are talking about, that i have been thinking lately in the end they wont longer know how to spell!!!
I think this is quite a worrying thing!! what happens when kids now have children and the children ask the parents to spell something and they cant!!??
I know i aint great with my grammer etc, but i do know how to spell, actually, thinking about it, i am finding hard sometimes if i want to spell a word i would spell it in a texting way instead of the actual way! thats very worrying!!
I admit i obviously write in text when i am sending a text, but when i am on here i write properly, especially when i am asking a question.
I just think in a few years 7/10 years, more people are going to become more illeterate.
What do you think about this text typing???

It`s ok for phones where you need to keep words to a minimum, but anywhere else it`s impolite and bad manners, and I can`t be bothered to read or decipher it.

As maximum of those human beings have suggested already, it became a male ruled occupation being a scribe. even with the actuality that they might have been written by ability of adult males the wide-unfold public of comments approximately women are approximately sturdy women with the occasional exception, yet do no longer forget that the adult males written approximately are oftentimes written approximately because of the fact of their iniquities or weaknesses, with exception to the Lord Jesus, Elijah and probably Enoch. P.S i'm a bloke

Hey it's just like slang! Just because you use a certain language with your peers doesn't mean you would use the same language with society. Come on, seriously! I think you're looking in too deep into something that just isn't there.

If this is an example of "writing properly" then you need to go back to Elementary School, my dear. What happened to apostrophes, capital letters, and your spelling sucks. You are joking right?

But to answer your questions, I fear that students who write in Internet-speak are doing themselves a disservice. I tell my 6th graders all the time that I don't care how they write to their friends, but if they email, post to our class Yahoo Group, or IM me, then they had better use proper written English. It is the only way they will learn.

We all don't speak formal English all the time, but we do need to be able to appropriately communicate.
