The people are insecure and lack intiative to take risks. That logic and common sense obviously do not apply to relationships, but skewed feelings and misguided emotions dictate appropriate outcomes. If someone isn't acting right, BY ALL MEANS don't leave.......hang around and try to change them into someone else. The word "like" can mean anything from casual eye contact to lustful sex.
