When we ask a question that we want others to agree with, why do we ask it?

Would it not be easier to just face a mirror and agree with the image? Why do we like to think that we are the know-all in all things? Have we honestly researched the question or do we just believe the answer we agree with?

Why are some of the answers crowded with obscenities, does that make them more accurate?

If we know so much and have such high skills with superb insight, why is it that we are not steering this Ship or State?

This is a political discussion board. Politics is the activity of controlling people or government(s).

In an authoritarian society, politicians try to control people's actions.

In a free society, politicians try to control people's ideas.

America is a free society.

There are lots of people posting here for lots of different reasons but i believe the ones you are referring to fall somewhere on the following spectrum:
-At one end are the "sheep" that are seeking affirmation of the ideas they don't understand but have been told to believe.
-A the other end are people that resent the disemination of misinformation and are trying to discredit it.

(first question): We're looking for validation, so we feel less alone. People have varying needs for this, but it's a universal human need to have people agree with (validate) you.

Its called fishing.......fishing to see how many like minded individuals are hanging out at that moment. And it builds self esteem in men with small penises :)
