I had the same problem, but I was never regular. I was on the pill for 5 years and stopped. When I did, my period only came twice a year. I finally saw a specialist and tested positive for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). I'm not saying that's what you have, what I'm saying is that maybe you should be more persistent with your doctor or find a new one. That's the only way you'll know for sure.

Good luck!

Are you under any stress?? When my fiance died I went a few months without, stress was the main factor. // I would call your physican to have some tests done, even if your young you could be going through early menopause (my sister in law is going through this and she is 30). // The best advise is to make an appointment with an OB/GYN!!! Oh and yes you can become pregnant by having unprotected sex, so if this is not what you want you better use something.

Yoou might be pregnant or your body is not producing the HCG levels high enough to result in a positive... or you might have an expired test or something. There is also a possiblity that you might not be pregnant at all. You could be stressing yourself out too much. and thats what is keeping you from getting a period. Also there is a chance that you could have developed cysts on your ovaries which would prevent you from ovulating and having a period. YOU BETTER SEE A DOCTOR,
Take care.

Unprotected sex is risky regardless of your period being regular or not. As to 8 mos without, chances are you are not ovulating, something is out of sync, and bc pills may be the best way to get you started again, you could try them for a couple of months and them go off again.

First of all you should have seen an OB LONG before asking someone on here what to do. Obviously if it's been 8 months you're not pregnant because you would certainly be able to tell. You need to get into your doctor now.

If you are sexually active there is always a possibility of getting pregnant, what kind of birth control are you on? It can sometimes take a while to get your period after stopping birth control, but always remember you can get pregnant.

if sounds like you are not 100% sure that you are NOT pregnant. Go get a pregancy test or see your doctor or go to a free clinic.

The probability of getting pregnant from unprotected sex is high enough to NOT DO THAT.
