I would recommend that you see a neurologist and have a nerve conduction study (EMG) performed. This test can rule out any nerve damage, such as De Quervains or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Proper and early diagnosis can allow for various conservative treatment options before something more invasive is required.

Despite popular belief that you can only get CTS from repetitive motions or prolonged use of a keyboard, the fact is that the human body wasn't made to last as long as we ask it to these days and some functions, especially around the smaller bones, just break down.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

Sounds like you may have a prob in your neck which is affecting some nerves sending the pain signals into your arms. I would recommend seeing a good chiropractor or osteopath who will be able to tell you very quickly what is going on and most prob fix it for you in a few sessions.

In the meantime, roll a small hand towel and lay it under your neck at night. Sleep flat on your back and see if this helps. It may feel uncomfortable at first but if the prob is in your neck this may alleviate the prob.

Carpal tunnel syndrome or tendonitis, if were you iwould seek medical help because if left untreated the worse case scenario you end up off would for along time and with wrist bands. Go to your doctor asap. I have had it and ignored it thinking it would go away but it is very painful once the tendons become inflammed. Physiotherapy would help too but see your doctor first asap. Change your posture at the dest like the other person said. put your chair higher than the desk or wear wrist support, but see your doctor before it gets worse.

Carpel Tunnel? My friend at work was diagnosed with this, he's a truck driver, doesn't even own a pc. It was from loading and unloading. Same symptoms. Wore arm braces for six weeks to minimize twisting of wrists. He's better, but still has flare ups if he's not careful.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon.

For the blood test, you must have seen a Physician right? Did he not give you a diagnosis? You know it is not Rheumatoid Arthritis he/she has ruled that out. You need to go back and find out what it is. Have you been given anything for the pain? You need to know what it is so that it can be treated and by whom it should be treated .

Could be a cervical radiculopathy coming from a compressed nerve in your neck and radiating into both arms. I would think CTS (carpal tunnel syndrome), however, the neck pain does not fit. See a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon with experience in diagnosing neck conditions.

this sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. go and see your GP and if he thinks it is severe enough he can refer you for carpal tunnel release - a simple operation to increase the size of the 'tunnel' formed by your tendons and the carpal ligament. the pain is caused by the ligament becoming inflamed and pressing on the nerve in your wrist.
do you get pins and needles in your fingers and thumbs? this is another symptom.
