I believe you mean psychic abilities.
I believe everyone has these abilities, some simply are better at listening than others. I believe this is a result of everything in the universe being interconnected. One of the best metaphors I have heard used to describe this idea was put forth in a book called "The Holographic Universe". The basic idea is that a photograph is made up of tiny discrete pixels. If you tear it in half you have two halves of a photograph. However, a hologram is made up of a diffraction pattern. Each point in the image contains information about the whole. If you tear a hologram in half you still have two complete holograms (although somewhat less sharp).

There's no such thing as real psychic abilities. Some people are just a little more in tune with their senses than others. Some are just better at reading people than others. But, to date, there is no such thing as SOLID scientific evidence for the existence of psychic powers.
