Aathma(the apparent internal Reality-Jivaathma) and Brahman (the apparent External Reality-Paramaathma) are one and the same. They are not two (A-Dvaidham=not two=Non-dualism)-"Ekaiva Brahmam Satyam-Param Naasthy"=Reality is one and ONE only-There is no differentiation of "Internal" or "External" This Adwaitha philosophy's fledgeling was nurtured by Gauda Bhagavad Paadha and his disciple Govinda Bhagavad Paadha and grown into a collosal tree of gargatuan dimensions by Sankara Bhagavad Paadha. The feeling that the "External" and "Internal" are two different entities is due (Human's)"Maaya"(illusion) according to Sankara- This is corraborated by the Vedas--"Aham Brahma Asmi=I am verily the Brahmam(Internal and External)-"Tat Tvam Asi"=Thou art that (Brahmam)-"Sarvam Kalvitham Brahmam" etc-Acarya (the great teacher)Sankara's philosophy is very elaborate with the concepts of "Adyaasa" etc

My internal reality effects my external reality, making the Universe a wondrous place.

External reality would be surviving in a cold cruel world. Internal reality would be how I hande it emotionally. I have managed to survive pretty well actually. I am content.

Externally, internally either way, right now makes no difference. Reality is just that. Bam! It's like the s h i t hit the wall for me. Been ripping me apart and taking all that's inspiring and good about me away and for that I am angry...........

I would describe my external reality as the confluence of the world within which I operate and the genetic and environmental factors which comprise "me". My sense of external reality is, of necessity, different from any other, as any other is different from mine. My inner reality would presumably include aspects which are "barriered out" of my external reality by my sub-conscious awareness of their disassociation from external reality.
