I think its important that everyone gets the chance to have a baby. Although I am not wanting kids at the moment because I am 2 young, I will because there is no love like the love of a mother and a child. To raise a child in a good way teach it these key things:
respect
honesty
love
equality
responsibility
honor

It isn't important to everyone. Some people before they get married, make up their minds that they want no children. It could be due to their careers, or if they see how tied down their friends are with kids??? I hope you are married and discussing this with your mate! It is awfully hard to raise them on your own. My husband worked away for many years and I had 3 boys to raise alone all week long. It was HARD.. One thing good about it now though, they are VERY close to me. We can talk about anything. I had c-sections, I didn't have any natural, and I wouldn't want to! Just be very positive (little kids do not understand "no, don't, etc. You have to tell them what to do, not what not to do. Be loving. Read the "Children Learn What They Live" poem. PS. If you spank, they will think it's okay to hit others.

Having and raising a child is the hardest job in the world. Not everyone buys the 'have to have a baby' program. If we all had to pass a test on parenthood before we had a baby, we would become extinct. Theories on how to raise a child change at least once every generation. By the way, I have sons.

I don't think it's important. It all depends on what kind of religious or family background you have. Some religions feels having children continues the religion. Some families want to continue the family name. Having my children was a great experience and I'm glad I did do it. Though I know many who have had children cuz they thought it was important and they are horrible parents...and admit it!! Love, attention, respect, and following your instincts are all good starts in raising a baby in a good way.

first and formost children need lots of love and your full attention and there very costly so you must be able to afford there needs .so if your going to have a baby please plan first. then you can start maken the notes on how your going to teach them right from wrong and how to respect others and manors and then you should keep there safety in mind also. theres alot that goes on with haveing a baby i know there cute but theres so much more too it then that . i wish you luck

my baby is imporant to me cause I can show a person everything, teach them, help them grow into a independant adult, and share life....

It has been a good experience so far,
I get to see things new through her eyes,
I learn about myself,

best thing for raising a baby is consistency,
set the rules, and stick to it.
I read every day from the bible to her, so she learns to do it herself.
I make sure to spend time ( both mom and dad) so she knows she is safe and loved.
