Sounds weird doens't it? But ya we actually are fraid of how WE feel...

Possible reasons to not let her know.
1. You don't know your own feelings that well
2. You are scared of rejection or looking stupid.
3. She's a relative.
4. Other guys think she's a skank and you are afraid to be open with your feelings.
5. Everyone on the football team has had her, including the 78 pound waterboy and you worry about being attracted to that type of girl.
6. You are afraid she'll get clingy and needy.
7. She's married to a a friend.
8. She's your bosses wife.
9. She's your boss.

intimedation, some woman are just plane intimedating. it could be because she is so damn fine you think she wouldnt give you the day or time. another reason is in the man himself. He maybe insecure in himself or just plane shy. Another reason could be that he has a woman.(not) or she could be someone that he can't approach for some reason. a lot of times we often ask if we have a chance with this chick. those men that would say yes would go for it. Those men that dont think so probably won't approach her.

i don't understand how guys can STILL be afraid of rejection. it's gonna happen a BUNCH of times. you can't hit a homerun everytime, right??? of COURSE you're gonna strike out from time to time. so there ya go, a lot of guys just are afraid of striking out that they never even step up to the plate. but that's fine with me, 'cause that means less competition.
shyness not being a factor, some reasons could be that the man is already in a relationship, he may want to know more about her. maybe he's got a flare up of herpes and he wants it to go away before he tells her.

I would say the biggest is the fear of rejection. No one likes to be rejected and if a guy feels a girl may not feel the same way he does he won't go out on a limp for a fear of rejection.

I like being unpredictable. Besides, I don't want her to freak out because I said I like her just after a few dates. I never rush anything.

Fear, fear of rejection, she might be married, she might be taken, she might be gay, she might be virgin, she might be getting over a break up, she might not take it right, I might stumble over the words. Alot of it is the unknown and too afraid to find out the truth.
