So heres the deal. I really like my friend and i asked her out a year ago and she said no. I asked her 5 days after she got out of a serious relaitionship. we hang out even more since then. we go to movies, lunch, dinner, and ballgames alone. she gives me tight hugs and i kiss her on the cheek. the thing is i cant be her friend anymore. its too hard. i have to either be her boyfriend or cut off complete contact with her. this has become a serious problem in my life. my grades are suffering and i hinder mysefl from meeting other girls. so please choose one of 4 things i should do.
1. not call her ever again and just break off contact
2. ask her out again
3. try kissing her
4. call her and ask if her feelings about me have changed and if not say i cant be friends anymore

Respect the decision she gave you. No means no. If you're not capable of being her friend and only her friend then you should cut it off but not as a form of punishment to her but to yourself. This relationship that youre pushing on her is selfish. To ask someone out only 5 days after getting of a relationship is heartless. I doubt she was ready to even think about stepping into anything new.
If you want to impress her....be a friend. A real friend, not just a friend who's sticking around because they want something from her but a friend who actually cares about her and her feelings.

I would probably do a combination of 2 and 4. I wouldn't go as far as to say we can't be friends but I'd make it a point to say that you are finding it harder and harder to be friends when you know it can't go any further.
So when you call her, explain your feelings for her and ask her about hers again. If she says she is having some feelings for her, ask her out if not explain what I said above.

Make her miss you by finding something to do for a few days (Catch up on homework, etc) with no contact, no IMs, no cell phone, etc. Then at the end of the last day call her and plan to something she likes (coffee, museum, whatever) for the next day. She won't be able to control her emotions.
