Yeah on my back an angel, a devil and an alien, they represent the good the bad and the unknown and on my ankle, going halfway round, the mathematical symbol for infinity (sort of an 8 on its side) meaning that you never really die your sole lives on for ever. I got them done, because I really wanted to get a tattoo and these are things I really believe in and think I will always believe it so I will always like my tattoos.

Right here goes
Technically i have four
A small tribal design next to my tummy button
A medium sized tribal design spread between my shoulder blades at the top of my back
And a fairly large tribal design- that i added a pair of gothic angel wings too thats at the base of my spine
I got them all at different times to symbolise points in my life
I dont regret having them done at all as they are all in places where i can cover up or show off as i feel they arent on display always, and getting them done even though there was a little pain with each one it only served to remind me why i was getting them done and what points in my life they represented
Everytime i see them im reminded of the hard /special times i have been through

My name is Rosie so I got a rose tattoo on my foot when I was 17. Next one was a "heart breaker" (a heart with a wing) on my shoulder blade when I was 18.
For my 35th birthday I got a wolf on my thigh to commemorate that milestone. I love wolves.
I got the Korean symbol for "perseverance" when I got my black belt in tae kwon do. It's on my upper back. Next I got a cross on the inside of my lower leg. This was suggested by my son. Since I am a Christian I thought it was appropriate.
My next tattoo was a dragon between my shoulder and my upper arm. I got that one because I liked the way they looked in the tattoo book. It's red with green eyes.
I never really liked the face of the wolf so I decided to have it covered with a large black panther that looks like it's ready to pounce. Didn't have much choice since the wolf was fairly large and was black line. I like panthers anyway.
My last tattoo is the Japanese symbol for "Miracle". It is in the middle of my upper back. I nearly died three times in June of 2005 from blood clots which were related to endometrial cancer. I went through two surgeries for the blood clots and two surgeries for the cancer, 6 rounds of 6 hour chemo treatments, 25 rounds of external radiation and 3 rounds of high dose internal radiation. I got through all that will very few side effects. Everyone was calling me a walking miracle.

I got the star on my ankle because i consider myself unique like a star! there is no start exactly the same to another star! then i got a butterfly on my shoulder because i was going through a time or change! And i'll be getting a purple lily on my wrist. the lily reflecting growth and purple for the color of royalty, my royal attitude!

I have 4
A lion cub, a moon with a lady's face in it, a fairy, and a kokopelli walking on the beach with a sunset and palm tree.
Each of my tattoos have special memories for me that I will never forget. Its not really the design that brings back the memory, they were just what I liked, but each time I look at them I remember what was going in my life when I got them.

Yes i do i have 6 tattoos, i have 6 children hence the # of tattoos
1) on lower back : Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, frogs, each of them are covering up each others eyes ,ears and mouth, which reminds me of my kids, and my wish to protect them from evil and i like frogs.
2) inside right ankle : a flower, with 6 hearts for petals, for my kids and our last name in the center, i designed it myself.
3) left side of my belly: a tribal sun done in red, with a heart in the center of it, for my husband our love is like the sun, fierce and strong.
4) right ring finger: 6 tiny footprints all the way around, each one for my kids. And that though we may think we are alone we are not for God carries us through.
5) left third toe: A butterfly as a toe ring, because my life was emerging into new beautiful things. And I wanted a permanent toe ring.
6) right side of my chest near the collar bone: A little blue frog, signifies, the ending of a chapter in my life i had my tubes tied, i got the tattoo 2 days after i had my tubes tied. And he has become my logo for my desserts.
All of them mean something to me, and represent my life, and you can only see them if i want you to see them. I don't worry about the skin wrinkling, or them fading, and my skin stretching. I wanted them for me .

right shoulder- USMC in old english, for pride of belonging
left shoulder- sun with a devious face, represents my personality
right chest- spade (like the ace of spades) in flames with the letter L in old english in the middle, for family pride.
left chest- pisces symbol, everything ive ever read about the symbol totally describes me. so when people look at it they can find out quite a bit about me, if they look up the symbol
back- dragon, mother was born the year of the dragon
left hip area- irish family crest, heritage
the back of my left arm and right arm are the same tats they are of an old wizard looking guy. the only difference is the colors of the hats and eyes. on my left arm the hat is dark purples and blues, on the right arm the hat is oranges and reds and yellows. these represent my attitude toward my generation. the colors represent night and day. the age of the wizard (old) represents knowledge and wisdom. to me it says he sees what we are doing all day and all night and is very upset with it (he has a somber expression) and since he is knowledgeable or wise, he is right.
all my tatts have a lot of meaning to me, i have never told anyone what they mean, and don't plan on it. so it is kinda nice being able to tell someone and not having to worry about you knowing who i am. if someone wants to really know me, they can look at my tatts and figure me out pretty well, thats why i dont tell people, if they really want to know me, theyll do the work to figure it out.

I have hope written on my wrist, which was my first when I was 18 and was experiencing some serious life issues. On one of my upper arms I have a solid heart, and the other a broken heart in the idea of wearing your heart on your sleeve, because I rarely let people know whats really going on with me (lengthy discussion) a star on my forearm which reminds me of my father because he is a sailor. 2 "f holes" if you know what those are (think violins, hollow-bodied guitars) on my back, I play violin...and a blue rose...and well, I can't tell you about the blue rose, its the mystery.

I have a small tatoo, it's a chinese symbol meaning Artist...Yes, you guessed it, I am an artist! I had this done because I felt I wanted something on the outside to reflect how I felt on the inside, and at the same time be personal to me. It gets a little curiousity going without making me look like a piece of graffiti art (don't get me wrong, love graffiti art, not so much over the human body though!). I suppose I wanted to show a little pride in my talent without having to stand in its shadow. Besides which, I love tatoos that are done well. They're fab!
Go on, get one! You know you want to!
