Hmm nope it wont offend them since it was a part of the Ottoman casual wear.
But the point behind Not wearing Fes anymore as a law was beyond just the Fes... It represented something greater, like A WAY OF THINKING!! Fes represented the old fixed ideas, narrow opinions. Therefor it had to stop by taking little steps such as this Fes thingy.
Hmm hope it gave u a little idea on the matter

No, put it on, no one will arrest for you for that but almost every one will smile at you, nobody wears a fez except for the dervishes (who actually only wear them at shows) and the color of theirs is not Bordeaux actually. So as pinar says it's only an indicator that u are a tourist..In some caricatures Turks are still symbolized with fez on their heads which has no validity for the recent 80 years, so it sounds silly and out of date that's all..

ooh, is it so substantial to categorize human beings into distinctive communities? Does it assist you to in any way. very almost all all of us is those days blended with distinctive genes, consistent with probability there are some Asian gdna in you too, or African or despite. all of us are human beings and if we'd bear in suggestions that, the international would quickly look distinctive and each little thing would artwork extra beneficial. So the subsequent time - don´t think of the genes - communicate and replace perspectives with one yet another rather.

It is not against law. It does not offend us. It is a kind of a traditional accesory. If you wear it while you are in Turkey, everybody will know that you are a tourist that's all :)
