I got married around Christmas. Most places are already decorated for the season so you save a ton of money on decorations.

There isn't one.

The summer is lovely because many flowers are in bloom and the weather is nice. But so many people want to get married in the summer, so prices can sometimes go up on things. Plus, the temperature could get very hot.

The fall is nice because a lot of people like the crispness and the colors, and the weather can still be good. Fall is a lot of people's favorite season for a reason. But the weather might not be good; it could be cold and rainy. Fall has unpredictable weather.

Winter is a good choice because many places offer lower prices, and a winter wonderland wedding is lovely. But people are busier (and poorer) in the winter, particularly in December, and bad weather can prevent people from going to your wedding.

The spring is a good choice (mine was in April). The weather is getting warmer, things are blooming, and everything is fresh. But it can rain a lot in the spring, and it isn't always warm. Prices are also getting a little higher again because summer is approaching.

Bottom line, get married in a season you love and that won't interfere with your guests coming to your wedding. For example, don't have an outdoor wedding in July heat in the southern US if you have a lot of elderly guests.

Without a doubt, the fall!

Spring: Too many weddings are in spring, common season and lots going on (it seems anyway)
Summer: Too hot! & too many people go on vacation
Winter: Weather here in the northeast US is very unpredictable. I would have LOVED a winter wedding but with worries of snow storms it was too risky.

Winter Holidays? Bad timing. Although a lot of people are around during the holidays it is a very busy time of year. Company parties, family parties, etc. make it hard to find time for a wedding. Never mind the expense of giving another gift on top of all the Christmas gifts you have you buy. And don't get me wrong, I LOOOOVE Christmas!

October is the most beautiful month if you live in the South. The best season depends on your personal preference and if you are having an indoor or outdoor wedding. Beware of summer weddings outside due to HOT weather. You don't want to be too sweaty and stinky at the alter!

Depends on what you're concerned about.

Cost? Don't do summer, when everyone else is. Do it in winter or fall.

Weather? Late spring or summer. Even early fall can still be warm in some places.

Availability for relatives? Do it around a holiday, when people tend to have more time off. Or do it in summer when people tend to take more vacations anyway.

Is there a certain month you hate? Obviously, don't get married then.

Obviously, summer is the most popular. The weather is very iffy during the other 3 seasons. But I think a fall wedding with those gorgeous colors would be beautiful.

Every Season has its pros and cons. Go with whatever suits the two of you.

Winter:
Pros - Cheaper, Availability is more open among vendors and locations.
Cons - Colder, Travel Plans dont always work as you would like, most fresh flowers are out of season

Spring:
Pros - Temperatures are usually better for outdoor festivities, fresh flowers are starting to be back in season which generally lowers prices.
Cons - Rain (depending on region), Costs start to rise because most couples get married in the spring and summer, Availablility is harder to find... have to be flexible in dates and plans

Summer:
Pros - Generally nice weather (except heat), Families more able to travel to make it to your wedding, Most fresh flowers are in season
Cons - Heat, Availability is harder to find... have to be flexible in dates and plans

Fall:
Pros - Cheaper, Temperatures in early fall are nice, Availability is more open among vendors and locations.
Cons - Rain (depending upong region), Fresh flowers are starting to go out of season - so costs rise.

Regardless of season avoid holidays that involve flowers (christmas, mothers day, valentines day, etc) prices for flowers skyrocket during this time.

The best time to get married is June. They say when you marry in June you will always be a bride! The weather is fair, the sun is shining! Oh, what a day!

Love has no season...but everyone does it in June, right? Some people have to go to 3 or 4 weddings in one month, as well as graduations, ... rather expensive as well as they are all alike. Do a late January to April wedding...people are ready to get out to a non holiday event and party.
