I am looking to get one that's about 12cups

We have two different Rival crockpots. Love 'em. Make sure to get them with an insert, easier to remove and wash. I got one for free from a friend, and the big one we paid a little less that $50 for from Wal-Mart.
They're used at least once a week if not more!

West Bend, It can be used in the oven,on top of the stove or on its own heating unit, and being all metal, it won't crack. I have a 5 quart one, but there is a smaller one.mine cost less than $50.00

Regal is a great brand...I think they invented it....if you shop in Walmart you can usually pick one up in the $20.00 range

whirlpool they arent that expensive but you can get them at target for under $50.
