youll have to get the software but its not hard

It's not so hard. Set the tv-tuner to record the channel where you are watching video films. Play the vhs tapes and then you record it, while its playing. In reverse you can give any channel to play the film on the tv. Position your vhs recorder to the channel. Play it and record it in the same way.
