My 4 year old daughter has angelman syndrome, and numerous other health issues. SHe is in a regular 5 point harness carseat. She is 34lbs. When she hits 40 she is too big for her seat, and we need to find another one that can support bigger children. She is not mentally or physically able to be in a regular booster seat with a shoulder strap. Does anyone know where i can find a seat like that?

Check Target, WalMart, and Babies R Us. The Car seats should tell you that it is good for a child up to 100 lbs. Also check Sams Club of BJS Wholesale if you have a memebership to one of these.

I found my son's car seat goo to 100lbs on e-bay.

I believe majority of car seats supports over 40lbs. The new law is 7 years old or 70lbs, you shouldn't have any problems finding one.

Britax makes a carseat that can hold your child until 65 pounds. I know that they have other car seats that hold children that are heavier. but I know that the Britax one is top of the line.

consumerreports.org you may have to join online, but they have the best ones listed and a consumer report best buy. I use the site for a lot of things so the cost is worth it.
