Children have a natural ability to create primal art. How about the parents and kids getting together for a fun art workshop. Tape plainn white paper (the kind on rolls), provide crayons, chalk, finger paint, etc. so everyone can pick what they want. Dress the kids and parents in old clothes, put on some fun music, and have everyone create and enjoy. You can even have everyone barefoot, put paint on their feet, and walk across paper.
After the event, when all the paint has dried, look at everything that was created and focus on areas that can be cut out, mounted, matted, or presented in a professional manner.
Kids having fun are so expressive with their imaginations and I think you could have a great art sale with the selected pieces.
it would also be fun for everyone.

I don't know if you would like the idea but I sponser fundraisers for many different organizations. I would be happy to specialize a fundraiser for you as well. What I do and have found it to be very successful is Mary Kay Satin Hands Set. You would receive $11.35 of every set sold. To break it down if there are 20 kids in the daycare and each one sold just 2 (one for grandma and one for mom) profit would be $454.00! With the time of the year this set makes an excellent gift for Christmas. Mary Kay is a very well known product and it really sells itself. If you would like me to get you going with this exciting fundraiser let me know. You can contact me at shawndalyn_clark@yahoo.com.

Knead smooth a dough made from salt, flour and water. Roll out about 1/4 to 1/3 inch thick and cut with christmas cookie cutters. Your cutters should not be too large because they are going to be christmas tree ornaments and you want them kinda light. bore neat little holes into them for the hooks with an unfolded paper clip while they are on the tray before baking.
Use salt generously when mixing your dough, it gives them a smooth texture and and keeps them from poofing up too much, which creates fragile air pockets that tear and crack. keep edges trim when cutting so you dont have to do it after theyre baked, which is much more difficult. When cool, thoroughly dust off excess flour. Paint with acrylics (shimmery metallic paints give them a beautiful touch). The kids can help you do this, too. you can also glue on lil gems, mirror pieces, etc.
Neat handiwork work will make you $$$
You can also personalize them for people, family names/dates and stuff. Good Luck!âº

My son and daughter's daycare parent group sold hoagies (subs). They were a huge hit because no one sells them other than us. They were $3 a piece and the choice of ham, turkey, or some other kind that had like 3 different meats. Then American cheese, white bread, and lettuce, mayo, oil, and onions in a separate bag. When all the stuff came in to make them, the parents volunteered and made the hoagies themselves then distributed them to each parent who had sold them.
Another HUGE seller is Gertrude Hawk candy bars. They a $1 and it's something people are happy to buy because they are so good, come in many different kinds, and you pay for it and get it immediately. No wait period.

Oh let's see -- You could have an auction although they are a lot of work. How about having a one day a week, donate your coffee money? Anytime I did a fund raiser I always made sure to publicize what the funds were going to be used for. You might also try a casino night or a poker tournament.

Well, this one worked for my charity & we made a LOT of money.
You get a local car dealer to offer a moderate car at dead cost, in our case it was a PT cruiser convertible.
The car cost around 21k, we sold raffle tickets that totalled 30k. We kept the balance & the dealership got free publicity.
Almost every dealer has a program like this for non-profits.
Good luck!

Our yard sales used to turn in a good profit. The parents donated things and we sold them to the parents and the community.

My sons school does any annual fundraiser with Art By Me (www.artbyme.com). They take children's drawings and put them on mugs, pillow cases, magnets, key chains, mouse pads, and all kinds of other things, that you can offer for sale to the parents and friends. Its lots of fun. My mom has a coffee mug for every year my son has been in school!
