i went to the doctor and spoke to the nurse about UTI's. she told me that they generally will clear on their own in young women, but i was wondering, how long will it take to clear without meds?
is it at all dangerous?

that is interesting, i dont know any doctors that dont treat a documented uti that is causing symptoms. i imagine it is possible that it could clear on its own, that is probably what happened to utis in the old days before antibiotics. however, who wants to suffer for however long it would take. 3 days of antibiotics and your good as new. besides, if it got up into your kidneys you could really be in trouble

Consult a dependable medical specialist, and have a test carried out, because without a test, you do not know the "nature and type" of bacteria, causing the infection. No self-medication please. Only the specialist in medicine concerned, is authorized, and has the competence, to make the correct prescription for proper treatment.

ive never heard that they clear on their own. i know that they give out anti-biotics that you take for 1 or 2 weeks. i have heard that left untreated can be very dangerous and can even cause death
