My parents get on my nerves a lot too, the best thing I find that I can do is to take a small step back and look at it from their point of view. If that doesn't help I keep away from the people I'm mad at until I calm down enough to have a real conversation with them asking them what I can do to fix this. Just try to keep in mine us kids didn't come with a rule book they make up what to do as they go just like we do on life decisions. So asking questions is okay if you need help or are confused. Hope that helps.

This is all to motivate you to get out of the house and be independent when you turn 18.

It worked for me! I couldn't stand it anymore, so I joined the military and made a life for myself.

Until you leave home, guess what? You'll have to deal with it.

Start getting ready now so you can leave as soon as possible. You have to 18 to move out legally, or have your folks permission to join the military.

If you're under their roof, you have to deal with their rules.

Take smaller portions at dinnr so you can finish them and he won't say anything!!

Parents can be like that. I know I didn't realize until I was in my 30's that parents are people too. They have bad days, cruddy memories, pain you know nothing about - that's what probably makes him such a sarcastic grump.

That is what parents do best. Have u tried saying Dad i love you. that is a very good way to get on fathers good sides expecially when you say it for no reason.
