Did she want to free Him from what He came for to do?

If she accepted His death for us, how great is her love for us who He redeemed?

Of course she wanted to free Him. She didn't want to see her son suffering. She would have traded places with Him if she could, any mother would have.

Acts 1
Carl, Mary was in the upper room with James, do you know who James is?
13And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

So yes she did accept the death of Her son,
But the bible says, she had other children, a son,
Same on Jesus said, Behold your mother too.
Lots of people do not catch it.
She was a virgin when she had Jesus, but her an Joe, well they had some children.

She knew Jesus to be the messiah. She already knew that he would be raised from the dead to take his place at the side of God. So she didn't have to "accept" her son's death. She knew he would rise again. If anyone in the world was relieved of that burden, Mary was.

In my opinion yeah, though in so many portaits it shows Mary crying for Jesus, she probably knew he had to die and since god gave her a son I would expect she knows he was given to her for a very particular reason. Id have to look it up.

As most any mother, no doubt she wanted Him to be freed -- and know that He could have been. If she, herself, had had the ability to; perhaps she would have. But she didn't.

Jesus could have called legions of angels to set Him free. But then, no salvation for us. How great was His love for us!!

In Islam we believe that The Almighty God raised Jesus before he was about to be killed and that Jesus will come back before the end of time and that will be one of the major signs of the hereafter.

I think she was torn but, they say that by her request for Jesus' intervention at the wedding at Cana, she was accepting his mission.
