Because it's so much more convenient to not have to live by His moral standards. This entire world has been deceived by the Devil to believe anything OTHER than to believe in God. The Devil want everyone to reject God because he is 'The Father of the Lie', that lie being, there is no God. Even our schools have been co-opted to teach we came from monkeys! instead of a loving creator.

Because people have never really given them a chance. Until people know or understand what its like to be given a life full of chances or 2nd chances God will mean nothing to them. If people learn to forgive instead of hate then they will come to God instead of hate God.

I definitely don't hate my higher power, it is just different than yours, I don't hate yours either...what I dislike is when people are self righteous, thinking that everyone else should believe like them, as if they have all the answers....and no, I don't think the bible has all the answers either...it is a book of interpretations, my higher power nor your god sat down and wrote it. You can have your blind faith and I'll have mine, it doesn't mean I force you or you force me or that we hate each others' faith. I think it is a Great Mystery how everything was created and I don't have to know the answer, just have to appreciate what is here.

I don't think anyone Hates a deity. I think people get frustrated with others and how they represent their beliefs.

Yes -- why would God create people simply to determine whether they're going to heaven or hell? Surely he has better things to do with his power...
