where do i get free patches to fix particular games?

have directx9 driver but broken sword 4 has error starting direct x?

Go to the game Web site, they have patches for all kinds of issue's. They have a support section with Q and A's. You can send them a mail but be specific! Make sure they know the Operating system, Graphic card installed etc.
