My hair is huge and curly also. I put in mousse or leave-in conditioner for styling. My hair looks shiny, not frizzy, or as big. Try doing a "messy" bun and then spray-gel it (when it's wet). It doesn't look so big, but looks cute. Hope this helped. P.S. I have long hair, too. So if your hair's not that long it would be easier for you to style. Good luck!

OK, what you want to do is buy some John Frieda Frizz-Ease shampoo and conditioner, as well as some of the frizz-smoothing balm. Apply the balm directly to wet hair after you get out of the shower. Then, wrap up your hair with a T-shirt, not a towel! This reduces some of the static that causes curly hair to frizz and get all big. Let it sit in the T-shirt for about 10 min. Then when you take off the T-shirt, run a quarter-size amount of gel through your hair (I like Paukl Mitchell Super Sculpt.) Optional: Put some Frizz-Ease Mousse in your hair next, paying special attention to the ends, and finger scrunch it, but don't touch it too much. (About 10 seconds of scrunching will suffice. After that, throw the whole thing into a low ponytail and let it dry in that. When you take it out the next morning, it will still be curly, but not all big and poofy.

My friend at school found that the best way to straighten her hair is wash her hair,
then lightly towel dry it before combing it through to remove any tangles
she then puts combs setting lotion through it before setting her hair with jumbo hair rollers.

she sometimes uses soda cans as rollers and finds that this helps to straighten her hair.

please note minimum amount of turns that rollers in hair is 1 and 1/2 turns

Hope that this helps.
