I like my italian bf or my guido John a lot we have both met each other parents and the like however my grandmother is moving in with my family for half the year till her house is done being built and i kind of let her think that he was Spanish when he was not my parents have not said anything to her because they like my bf and feel its my job to fix this. I was thinking of maybe just trying to pass him of as spanish but he might get offeneded and angry. How to fix this?

Tell your boyfriend that your grandma is just an old school racist... a lot of old people are...he should understand...cause you are not going to be able to chnage your grandmas racist ways and your boyfriend should not have to lie about his estnicity to make an old racist happy.... and neither should you

There are 3 options. #1 you don't say anything to either of them and hope that it never comes up....#2 tell him that you did this and explain why, he will probably understand...#3 tell your grandma that he isn't...if you're really worried about her reaction you could say at the time you said he was, you thought he was....Persoanlly I would go with #3 because she is your grandmother and should understand. The other reason is your grandmother is family and probably won't be too upset and even if she is a little mad, she will always be your family. If he gets mad, he can chose to walk away.....

Tell him the situation and hope he understands.

I had to do the same thing. I had to lie about a person I dated because if my cousin found out she would flip and who knows what would happen then. So I had to keep up the lie, but the only draw back is if your gonna get married you would have to tell her. So I'd lie till the relationship get serious. Worry about the details later.

Own up and tell her the truth. Say that you wanted to see her reaction when you said about him being Spanish.
Take responsibility for your deeds; there's no other way.
Good luck!

If it comes up tell the truth. If your boyfriend's a great guy it will show and who cares what nationality he is. It's how he treats you that matters.

If you care about your boyfriends feelings noway should you ask him to pretend to be something he's not.

Tell her the truth!! Love is suppose to be unconditional, and for you to "hide" the ethnicity of your boyfriend is shameful and he should be angry.
