It is pretty clear that either Bush lied, was lied to or the entire staff of the CIA should be replaced. Wait a minute two career CIA employees have come forward at the loss of their jobs and possible jail time to say what Bush told Congress and the country is not the same information he was provided. Was it manipulated by Karl Rove, Cheney or Rumsfeld or flat out lies? There were and are not any WMDs and there was and is no connection to terrorism. The CIA is either going to testify on behalf of Saddam Hussein or provide documentation he did not gas the Kurds. In fact, what has he done that the United States has not done? May-be he should be declared innocent and put back in charge when he was in charge this mess would not be allowed to happen. In this type situation you cannot be political correct you have to get their attention and keep it.
If he is executed, I believe as does M15, Mossad and the SVR we are going to regret it and see terrorism on a scale we have yet to see. Most Arabian countries to include our so called friends did not like Hussein but they disliked more the thought of the United States invading a country and arresting its President and putting him on trial. (May-be because they are afraid it might happen to them but more probable they as does most of the world do not like that we are always trying to enforce our opinion, way of life on others). There has never been an instance were the Colonist has beaten the insurgency, look around the world in “every” case they wear down the Government and their demand met.
You cannot contain the terrorism to any particular theater and they will eventually be back State side. Note: The comment about Terrorism has no loyalty could not be more wrong they have been fighting and waiting since the Crusades.
God Bless You and the Southern People.

I think it is when, not if. I think he will get the death penalty but I think the best torture is leave him in jail. Will terrorism get worse? Maybe for a short while, but terrorist are not know for long term loyalty. The country including the Judge has suffered - they just killed Judge's brother in law & 2 nephews & still the trail continues. I think they will stay the course. When the trail is over & sentences are handed out, the terrorist will continue on by following a new leader. Evil can always find a leader.

I really don't think it can get worse! Saddam's execution or imprisonment will be a mere blip on the screen for the bin laden group... Remember, Saddam did like them anyway. However, it should give those undereducated fanatic islamist a reason to sign on and continue their fight.
No matter what side you are on with respect to the whole terrorist and Iraq thing, you have got to know, unless you've been listening to Olberman, these fanatics are not going away! They want to kill you!

Whatever they decide will be covered with red tape and constant delays. That is the way courts seem to work these days, more paper pushing than anything else. If they kill him there will definately be a negative reaction from his supporters.

I am not so confident he will be found guilty. Between the murders of family members of judges and the sympathetic treatment several in the courts have given him, I wouldn't take it for granted.
This IS the same country that considers amnesty for any Iraqi who killed Americans but not other Iraqis.

nothing will change! he doesn't have any connections to terrorism-al qaeda but he is in his own way a terrorist because he killed numerous people for stupid reasons. if he gets death penalty then nothing will happen. if he stays in jail for the rest of his life he might go crazy but nothing will still happen on the outside.
you know that osama and all the other big terrorist leaders hate sadaam right..?
