for example does it have a car seat and where is the best place to buy this pram. My mum likes it as she is a teacher and believe strollers which are front facing affect the child speech development, the good thing about bugaboos is they face the mummy or daddy or granny. Anyone know of another stroller or travel system which offers the same, price is not an issue I want a child with good speech developement as I will be using it loads.

Buy the bugaboo - its the best £500 I ever spent. I have the earlier version, and the reason I bought it is the same as the reason you want it - you can face the baby while you walk and when he's older, you can face him out towards the world.

Ours came with the frame, the buggy seat, the carry-cot, a rain-cover and a mosquito net (really useful in Cardiff). We also bought a matching seat cosy which is really expensive (£60 or so) but has been brilliant. You can buy adaptors to fit a car seat to the frame. We didn't do this but I don't think its expensive.

The carry cot works like a proper pram and the baby is secure in it (the pliko pramette is flat and I was worried the baby would roll out when he got moving). We used it as a moses basket it was so comfortable for him when he was little. The buggy-style seat is also very comfortable, even now he's a chunky 20-month old.

It is also really comfy for you to push, and if you're going out for the day that's really important. We also have a small folding buggy which we bought for emergencies. I used it last week and it was tough on my back and a nightmare trying to steer it.

The best thing about it - YOU CAN BUNG EVERY LAST PIECE IN THE WASHING MACHINE WHEN HE YAKS UP!

When you go to choose, assuming you don't mind looking like a wierdo, take a large bag of potatoes with you. Strap it into the buggy and then see if you can steer it. They're all easy when they're empty, so you need to try it with a heavyish load.

Congratulations on the baby - hope you find something you really like.

My 2 yr old had a forward facing pram & now has a forward facing stroller & she talks better than most adults I've come across! A child's speach development depends on how much you talk to your child, I talk to mine (10 month old twins also) pretty much all day everyday, I tell them when I'm brushing my hair, cooking, going to the loo! I don't think it's down to the pram, it's down to the parents! Unless your child will be in the pram all day everyday (which I doubt) I'd consider forward facing ones aswell!

If you buy a travel system on a forward facing pram the baby will be facing you anyway as the car seat always clips onto the pram backwards (if that makes sense)!

I've seen the bugaboo prams out & about but I've never looked at one in a shop etc. I personally don't like the look of them, they are very expensive especially as you'll probably be trading it in within the year for a lighter stroller & any other pushchair in the shops are just as good.

Try the Pliko Pramette from Mama's and Papa's. It has a forward facing pram. When you later convert it to a push chair it can be either foward or rear facing. There is an optional car seat which creates a full travel system.
It also folds FAR better than the Bugaboo. Handy if you use public transport or don't have a car with an enormous boot. The bugaboo collapses rather than folds, so takes up a lot of room.

Most prams face to mum. I had a 'coach' type 3in 1 pram with my last baby.
Which was great as you could lie the baby flat in the carrycot part, then when the baby can sit up you change the carry cot bit to a seat.
I must say that I don't like the look of the bugaboo and £500 for just a pram is alot of money to spend.

This is like what I had and loved it.

Good luck.

Shopzilla.com list some and it depends. You have the basic stoller with the removable bassinet but they sell individual attachments and one of them is a car seat holder so it is possible up to a certain poundage.
