The cheapest way to call from anywhere to anywhere is Skype. It's absolutely free. If you have an Internet connection both you and your friend, you can talk all day long on Skype. The PC's have to have a mic.

Try calling through Yahoo messenger. I call my family in China and it is 1.5 cents a minute. I think I saw that you can call India for 1 cent per minute.

I don't think this works very well if you have dial-up but it does work very well if you have broadband.

Go to your neighbor's or a friends house and ask to use the phone.

Will probably only work once.
