I would try a creamish-yellow wall, with darker fabrics, like dark blue and deep maroon with little gold accents, brass-like metals, and soft lighting. You can also attach peices of fabric on the ceiling, which gives an instant indian look.

The beauty is in the details. Once you settle on colors (earth-tone, probably?), use Native American artwork or other details to set the tone of the room. Baskets, a Southwestern or Native American type rug, a medicine wheel, dream catcher or talking stick -- just a few of these will be all that you need to set the tone for your room.
