there are various triggers, alcohol, spicy foods, heat and cold. i had multiple treatments with the v-beam laser with amazing results. aside from that you can use antibiotic gel - metronidazole is one. but the laser works much much better than the medication

I have Rosacea also ..i notice that the sun brings it out and stress.. I recommend using sunscreen and trying to stay clam. I also use mitrogel. This works well. I also have used tea tree oil and when i take a bath i use a mask of dead sea minerals and this seems to help. I do recommend seeing a doctor to precribe the gel for u and to make sure that it is Rosacea.

Try vitamin c with bioflavinoids for the broken blood vessels. Grapeseed extract 100 mg twice a day is great for capillaries. Take a high potency multiple vitamin-mineral daily. Also take some good digestive enzymes. Rosacea is often associated with low gastric acidity and poor digestion.
Good luck!

The book I am reading about yeast syndromes indicated that rosacea may be one of the many skin conditions caused by yeast overgrowth (candida albicans).

I know that the tiny veins on my cheeks (never diagnosed) have disappeared as I have been under self treatment for 10+ months.

www.hufa.org - the yeast link, has more information.

Definitely see a Dermatologist! If they're within your doctor network with insurance, all you pay is the co-pay like you would with your family doctor. I'm sure you can google for home remedies and what not to do, but your best bet is to ASK A PROFESSIONAL who understands it and can treat it.

I went to a dermatologist and got them zapped. They are usually caused by genetics, alcohol consumption, spicy foods, hot and cold temps.
