i agree with father chuck, there should be a draft anyway, not so much to go to iraq or afghanistan or north korea. mainly to just build up our military if anything occurs, also to place troops in south korea to bolster their defenses.

A. I think there should be a draft anyway, regardless of N Korea and I think we need to about double the size of our military, to allow the National Guard to be back in the US to handle issues here. And to put troops on the border to close it.
But N Korea should not be fought on the ground, we have proved that under the new nice rules of war, that approach does not work. So first we have to decide to start fighting like we did in WWII and actually win a war, or not fight it

If our dysfunctional government "STAYS THE COURSE" , then I would not be surprised that the Draft be reinstated but North Korea will have nothing to do with that. North Korea would self-destructed if everyone agreed to serious and severe sanctions.
We need a different approach in Iraq or more soldiers may be required, obviously the number we now have is not enough, unless you believe George W. Bush's BS about how "ROSY" it is.

There will not be any need for a draft as long as the volunteer military is still functioning, and people still join on their own. I would rather work with someone who wants to be there than get killed or injured because some draftee doesn't want to do their job.

Naaaahhh,
There'll be no need for a draft. There will be enough folks that will be willing to enlist rather than do the time for "forgetting" to register with the Selective Service on their eighteenth birthday.

Why do libs always scream DRAFT the minute something happens in the world.
The military doesnt want you! They only want volunteers. Why?
The last time we had a draft we had people who didnt want to fight going off to war...No Thanks...Stay home and idolize your ipod or your Razr phone.
Leave the hard work to adults please.
