In young pups, that could be a sign of parvo, which can be fatal.

You should call the vet and tell them what the problem is, and then take the puppy in as soon as possible.

Agree that you should bring it to the vet, but frankly its probably not as serious as people here are making it sound. He probably has some Giardia, bacteria or just ate something bad. The blood if its red can be inconsequential- red blood being less worriesome than blackish blood or stool.

Vet will probably give you some antibiotics. Ive never seen a puppy that didnt get diareah so dont panic.

You dog must be seen by a vet immediately. This could be a ruptured anal gland or it may have ingested something that has caused injury to his rectum. If it is bright red, it most likely means the injury is close to the anus as opposed to internal, however, you MUST get him to the vet.

Take him to the vet. What would you do if he was your child?

If he needs to be fed, feed him boiled hamburger and rice mixed together (drain off any grease). That is easier to digest.

Take care of your baby so he doesn't dehydrate and die. Could be parvo, coccidia, worms, or distemper. Ask the vet, get medicine, and instructions on how to care for your sick pup.

Don't forget to get some emergency contact info or phone numbers just in case it gets worse.

CALL YOUR VET NOW!

The puppy can dehydrate quite esaily from the diarrhea and die.

The bleeding is the sign of a problem that requires an exam and probably stool sample.

It can be anything from gastroentritis to worms to a viral infection to having ingested a foreign object.

Worms? Parvo? Your pup will dehydrate if this is not taken care of by the vet. If you want to try doctoring yourself, try some peptobismol. This could help until you get to the vet.

Spoon a sample of the stool into a closable container, bag it and get that and the dog to his vet NOW. Get off this computer, don't call, just drive. If you're not able to make decisions on your own, you should not have a pet.

I'm not sure what it is, but it doesnt sound good if hes bleeding from that area. You should call your vet and ask. They could give you some advice, or make an appointment.

I would bet a kidney or bladder infection. Could easily be something worse. Take it to the Vet immediately.
