Yes, water will definitely ruin them. The injectors in your '99 F-350 each are standalone "pumps", and at around $500.00 EACH, I don't blame you one bit for wanting the gas station to pay for them. Go to any Ford dealership, and have the service manager arrange to print some literature which states that water will ruin the injectors and any other part of the fuel system, along with the repair order invoice, and fuel receipt, and take them to court. Good luck.

Yeah but when you replaced the injectors, you did basically clean the fuel supply in the fuel rails also, so unless you find a shop or a injector rebuilder willing to back you up, No one here can really help you as a gas station will not take the word of a poster...
As the fuel injector would have to be torn down to verify.. and every injector I've ever seen had a return core on it

Haven't seen one really trashed because of water personally.. usually the fuel/water seperator in the fuel filter bowl does a pretty good job of catching it from my experience.. or the truck won't run at all

Yugie, if he responds would be a better answerer, but with the few of them I've messed with , it was usually electrical or internal seal failure than water in fuel...

If I remember from my diesel friends, it's usually clean and refill with good fuel bleed the high pressure lines and run it hard for 30 miles...

all a fuel water separator is ,is filter like deal that takes the water out of the fuel, you need to also check the fuel filter on this truck, diesels are well known for getting elements in the fuel that cause this problem to happen ,id change the filter first,a bad injector will cause this, but all of them would have to be acting up and you would notice a vibration in it also, and it would stumble a lot when you accelerate it also.this could be bad fuel or a bad filter, have the filter replaced first, good luck with it.

Do you have receipts for the gas that you purchased from the gas station? I think the only way you are going to get anything out of the gas station is to take them to court. Have a Ford dealer give you something in writing that the injectors are junk once water gets in them.

Yes water will ruin the injectors, It will be a costly thing to say the least. There is a tester that dealers have, but when it comes to 8 injectors being bad it is hard to test them. I have a homemade tester that shows better for this but most places will not have them. It is better to replace them all and try to prove that it came from the station you bought it and may have to take them to court

I would take your dilema to a local mechanic shop and see what they can do. If the cant do anything for you they should be able to quickly point you in the right direction.

Wow, Great typing skills, hope the college classes are refundable. Why did you put your truck in water? Ford does not float. I hope you were not trying to fish.
