I cannot handle those churches. My church is very small and conservative, it's hard to get them to clap during praise songs. I've been to this super famous one called the Dream Center in south central LA (da HOOD), and it was like that with dancing and speaking in tongues.... no thanks.

Yes I have- I am actually a worship dancer and have led the dancing in church at times. You do have to be careful, though. There is a time and season for everything. There are different reasons for dancing and then there are times when dancing is not appropriate at all. There are churches out there that are not sensitive to the spirit on these issues but are in a constant "party" (for lack of a better word) state. What often happens in these cases is people wind up going to church for a fun, feel good experience and go home to live the same unsanctified lives they always have. The Holy Spirit brings conviction, change and sanctification- this generally does not happen where there is ear tickling and a party spirit.

We don't dance around, but our praise and worship is awesome! It's so lifting, and motivational. Some southern Churches dance and do alot of clapping. Here's what I say. Whatever makes you feel closer to God...why not?! It just expression.

Yes. It's about praising God in the spirit. When the Holy Spirit is in the place it hits you and you want to dance and shout for Jesus!!!

I went to mass once at a Catholic church in South-Central Los Angeles where the congregation was very bodily active. Some people clapped when they sang, some kinda "bopped" around, but all of it was authentic joy praising God.

Is it fun? It depends on how you like to express yourself.

Yes. I used to always go to those churches. I was the only one standing still... it was awkward. Dancing is fine until the hands start going up in the air and the people start crying because of the overwhelming 'emotional experience'.

to be 100% truthful the ones on TV are a joke, 90% of them are off, going to a good church, where your free to praise God like he is meant to be praise is absolutely fun, and liberating, my church is almost like a party, and calling it a party cheapens it, but I hope you know what I mean
