i met him 2 years ago. he just started dating this new girl like 2 weeks ago. i dont know what to expect when i go to see him. he is going with a friend to new york for a retirement party and so am i. we're both 17. im going with my sister and mom. we talk all the time on the phone but not so much lately. i really like him and i wouldn't be upset if something happened while we are in NY. but again the girlfriend issue. he says he likes me too but he doesnt know what to do. is there anyone out there that can give me adivice on what to do to kind of sway him my way?

just tell him how long you have known each other and you guys deserve a chance.... also tell him that he is only 17 so if it doesn't work out between the both of you he has a long time to find someone else... you never know what can happen until you try.... but do you really want a long distance relationship since you only see each other 2 times a year??

well seems you have already gotten off to a good start by being friends first - regardless of the distance

but in all fairness have to know that both of you should be able to date others until you see if you wish to be more than friends

just go and enjoy the trip for all it is - if something more than friendship develops and is what you want - then be happy - if not, be thankful you have a good friend for these days can be hard to come by

best wishes!

just be yourself. he must like you if he talks to you on the phone. personal contact and time together are important. i don't know why you can't see him more but that would make all the difference. if you knew him longer than the other girl you have the advantage. use what you know about him to your favor. two weeks is hardly long enough to call her a girlfriend.

well ask him how much he likes this other girl. probably not much since its only been two weeks. if he isnt as into her as he says he is into you hint that he should break up with her for you. also about the phone thing its only less cause of the girl. talk to him its a good thing you seem to have maybe he'll get the hint.

Sounds like he really likes you and is having separation anxiety. Which means he doesn't want to be appart from you, so he gets another girlfriend to see if it makes a difference. Show him that you really miss him when you get the chance, I'm sure he'll feel likewise.

YOU GUYS NEED TO BE BEST BUDDIES. WAIT TILL YOU CAN SEE EACH OTHER MORE FOR A RELATIONSHIP. DON'T RUSH, FIND A GUY FRIEND CLOSER TO YOU, SOMEONE TO HANG OUT WITH AND HAVE FUN. YOUR 2 YR AGO FRIEND HAS FOUND HIM SOMEONE TO KICK IT WITH AND YOU SHOULD TOO. GO TO THE PARTY AND LOOK YOUR BEST AND LET HIM KNOW JUST HOW GREAT YOU ARE AND YOUR NOT WAITING FOR HIM. HE"LL THINK TWICE. GUYS ALWAYS WANT WHAT THEY CAN'T HAVE. IT'S YOUR WORLD LET HIM CHASE YOU.

I really hope it works out for you, because if it does, then the next time a girl manages to sway him her way you won't have anything to complain about because it's ok for you to do it and it's ok for him.

if u only see him 2x a year then you must not live close to each other, i would say........get overhim and find someone that is closer to you and can be there more than twice a year.
