Fruits are under 100 calories. So if you are eating mcdonalds for lunch, doughnuts, cake, ice cream etc every day then you should eat a fruit for a snack instead of a piece of cake.

Fruits have simple sugars. . so its actually better for you than normal white sugar. People who avoid eating fruits because they think they have a lot of sugar are wrong!!! Oranges aren't high in sugar. Even though fruits taste sweet, it dosent mean that they are loaded in bad sugars. Remember -- the sugars in fruits are Naturally made from the plant! Sugar cane sugar is processed, and this is what makes it not as good for you. but there is no fruit that you should not be eating because it is too high in sugar. Any fruit is good because the natural sugars are way better than refined sugar-cane sugar.

If you cut out other things with sugar like chips and candy and stuff, and replace it with natural fruits then you will loose weight because your body will burn the sugars off from the fruit faster than they would with normal sugar thus the excess not burned does not pile up and make you fat.

So if you want to loose weight then yes eating fruit would be good but you need to stop eating things like cake and ice cream or whatever other things that you like to eat if you eat them

I don't find this. Eat fruits, salads, fish, broiled or boiled or baked chicken, various veggies as often as you like. Avoid pasta, rice, breads, sweets, high fat dairy...bananas are very high in sugar, but I think your friends don't understand that complex carbs burn far slower than simple carbs, which are instant energy and convert to sugars quickly. Your goal is to raise your metabolism, and the diet I suggested, and reasonable activity...a 30 minute walk, a swim, a bike ride, calisthenics, weights, will burn the little bit of energy the foods you are eating create. You'll lose. I've boxed and loss weight, had to, and I've had weight issues and lost weight, wanted to, I've lost 40-75lbs following the above diet...in months...remember, drink plenty of fluids...

Fruits may not help you to lose weight. Many fruits have high calories and are filled with carbohydrates.

It really depends on your habits. If you are someone who normally eats foods like donuts and cakes and pies and other desserts, substituting fruit like apple or plum or pear can help you to lose weight, but it depends on what other foods you are eating.

An all fruit diet is not healthy. If you want to lose weight, and don't want to join a group or count calories or write down what you eat, here is my suggestion:

1. First think green, so make sure you eat green food like salad or green vegetables. Think of this as the main course of the meal, and then think of what goes with it as the side.

2. So you can have salad and green veggies, and then you can add on the side: your burger, or chicken or fish, or whatever

3. Allow yourself 3 fruits a day as dessert or snack item: apple pear or banana.

4. If you want to eat carbs, eat one or two servings of wheat bread or what crackers

Do you know what weight-loss pornography is?

A lot of folks think they have the answer, but they don't know what they are talking about.

Here's a tip: if it's not man-made food, you can eat it. Your body will be healthy in relation to the amount of organic, raw fruits and vegetables you consume. The more raw foods you eat (not raw meat!), the healthier you will be.

Never use margarine. It is man made. Never eat anything made with transfats. Never eat anything made with partially-hydrogenated oils.

Use a little butter once in a while. It won't kill you.

Eat some egg yokes once in a while. They won't kill you.

Transfats WILL kill you.

Eat the Rainbow

Red -- Raspberries, Strawberries, Apples

Orange -- Oranges

Yellow -- Lemons, Apples

Green -- Grapes, Honey Dew, Apples

Blue -- Blueberries, Blackberries

Purple -- Grapes

Nobody ever got fat because of an Apple addiction. That's what McDonald's is for -- "Plumpin' up America one burger at a time".

You can eat all the fruits you want, as long as they are fresh (uncooked and unprocessed) and preferably organic. Also, eat all the fresh raw organic veggies you want! You can't overeat on a vegan raw organic diet.
