Joy is supposed to characterize a Christians life and we know after the last supper "they sang a hymn and went to the mount of olives"
so... what kind of music is in a mosque and what kind of songs do they sing r dont sing and why?

interesting... posters are confirming moslems dont sing..
this is intreging as Moses sister sang, David sang, Soloman wrote songs... Jesus sang... and in Zephaniah God sang

No we Muslims neither sing nor use any music in Mosque.
Why not sing? Because Mosque is not a place for singing, its a place for worshipping God. Our prophet (pbuh) never did so. In mosque prayers and verses from Qur'an are recited.
**Edit:
It's not necessary for Islam to be like earlier religions. The earlier religions and rituals were for that time. Even if they differ, it doesn't matter.

Many times the Bible tells us to sing to the Lord. Ex.15:21, Judges 5:12, etc.
Muslims chant.

Not to corrupt Kur'an with other man made writing or music, Muslims don't carry them in to mosques. When they sing,they do it outside of the mosque.
