With an open mind, I would begin to search. I would search in two places.

First, I would read about all the major religions. I would read about mysticism, magick, philosophy, and so on. I would do this because throughout history many people have explored this region of human life, and have left maps and directions which
will help me when I begin the second part of my search.

But I would also strive to avoid getting trapped in any ideology and dogma. I would strive to keep an open mind.

So, second, and much more difficult, I would look inside. Introspect. Meditate. Observe. I would question everything, everything I think, everything I feel, everything I desire, everything I fear, everything I am. I would do this by keeping a journal. I would keep a secret journal, secret so that I can say whatever I want without fear of embarrassment, ridicule, or hurting anyone's feelings. Because keeping it secret will help me express my inner life without censoring myself. Keeping it secret will allow me to express myself freely, without fear.

Also, I would keep a look out for someone else who is also on the path, who really wants to know. Neither a guru nor a disciple, but someone who wants to walk alongside me on the path.

And doing all this, I would eventually hope to bring more spirituality into my life.

I started with reading the Bible (new testament first). then prayer, airing out all of my problems and concerns. Asking for help with my problems. Praying for others. eventually, all of that wasn't enough to fill my spiritual needs, so I started going to church, within 4 weeks of going, I have seen everything in my life change for the better. And remember, for every minute you pray, stay where you are at praying and just listen. It's funny how people will pray to an all-knowing God and not listen.

You are spiritually dead until quickened to life. You are either spiritually dead or spiritually alive. Can you be more alive than alive?

By surrounding myself with only those who believe the same things I do. By doing more in my community to help those in need. by witnessing the miracles God has wrought in my life.
