in april next year i am going walking in morocco. i am going for just over a week, and the main climax of the activity is to climb the 4167metre high Jebel Toubkal, the highest mountain in north africa, in boiling heat, while still only being 13. can anyone give me a list of some of the things that i will need to take. would really appreciate it. if all goes well i want to climb kilamanjaro with my dad by the time i am 15, and climb everest by the time i am 20. you see i have a bet on with my little sister that i will climb everest in my life, and that is one of my ambitions. so far i have got on my list:

boots
blister plaster
blister cream
socks, breathable.

lol, thats all i have got at the minute. i know i willl need a sleeping bag, and no we are not climbing the mountain ranges over night, we are going back to the town, Aremd, and sleeping on the roof under the stars. what else do i need (even the obvious) and how much will a very good one of those cost? thanks in advance

Take a knife! Just in case you come across a snake or a wild lonely cave man! (see, now it fits into the the singles and dating section!!) ha ha..anyways, take plenty of ice in a jug, it will melt and still be cold. Don't forget to take your sunglasses, and a cap. Take a walking stick for the "just in case" you need help walking or need to wave a shirt for an sos. Oh and take a sled...that way when you get tired of walking down the hill, you can sit on it and sled down!!
Have fun!!!

Physical stamina, muscular strength, being able to go the mile under sleep and oxygen deprivation, balance and agility, finding your way.

I think you can work on the balance and agility part. The strength will come with age unless you're a big lad to start out with.

you need to spend more time learning about climbing before you even think about doing something like that.

If you are looking for info on mountain climbing in the dating section of yahoo answer, helI, even Yahoo Answers at all, you need to re-evaluate where you are at.

Lots and lots of water! Definitely bring some cooler clothes if you get to hot, lots of towels, a couple of hats, sunblock, and lots of lotion!
