It used to be that we shared the same places to worship. Then Christianity started ruling the world with an Iron fist. They destroyed our places of worship, then began to torture, burn, drown and crush Pagans as heretics.
Today, Christian parents are told to keep their children and themselves far away from anything remotely resembling paganism, such as Harry Potter, the Mists of Avalon and such.
It seems that they fear that Paganism seen in a positive light will sway them. I'm confident enough in my faith to know that I can respect many Christians deeply without having to adopt their religion. Why aren't Christians strong enough to do the same?

Some Christians have said that they're not afraid. I submit that if you won't let your children watch or read something as benign as Harry Potter, then you must be afraid of what it would do to your children, even though Harry Potter is pure fancy and has nothing to do with real paganism.
As far as our beliefs, there are many similarities. We celebrate many of the same holidays, albeit with different names. We are each dedicated to helping each other. Jesus said "Do you love me? Feed my sheep". Pagans have that sort of philosophy as well, and many of us volunteer in service to others.
One main difference is that we can see Christians as good while the reverse is not true generally. And Christians cannot be good of themselves where Pagans are responsible for their own actions.

You have to admit that the tenets of the Christian faith and those of Paganism are pretty different. And since a lot of Christians haven't taken the time to decide if what they believe is what their chosen religion believes, it's easy to see that they might be a little on the "anything that makes me be introspective is bad" side and therefore defensive.
Some Christians are strong enough, but some that are strong enough also feel strongly that it's Christianity or nothing.

Were Not Afried we ( Christians) have learned from th Bible it say's to stay away from that stuff bacause it worship's Saten think about it I mean if your a Christian and you sit down and watch a Horrer Movie and a tale in a horrer movie is of course about ghost's or sperit's Does that sound like somthing of God does he creep people out with that stuff I don't think so. God is there to protect us from that and then there's that voice in your head that tell's you when somthing is not of God and Some don't listen to there voice that tell's them somthing isn't right. Some Christian's are very carful about what there kid's get into because they don't want to lose them I know one family that diden't do that and they lost there daughter to a cult and she's out there some where and her parent's have on clue where she is . And I 'm sure when we get are own kid's we might understand better if your a christian then don't go judge other people about there choces until you have been there your self.
What we do know we may nt want are kids doing when they get to where we are now.
P.S Please don't take me as being Mad I 'm not mad this is just my view of thing's and I hope some people agree with me.

When we know and believe the love that God has for us, nothing can move us. More of us just need to hang out more with that Love and let the cares of this life melt away in the love of Christ that passes knowledge. With maturity in the Spirit comes strength. With strength comes the ability, the capacity, to lay hold on the height, the length, the breadth, the depth of the love of Christ which passes knowledge. Filled with all the fullness of God, nothing can move us - not Harry Potter, not a purpose-driven life, not angels, not devils, not principalities, not powers...Absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When Christians start cooperating with the maturation process that Christ died and rose again to lead us through, when we take hold of this love, you'll see no more fear of what you believe and practice.

I am a christian and I am not afraid of pagans, witches or anything else. Because I know that the power I have in God is greater than anything that is in anything or anyone else. And I won't look down on anyone like that either. I respect them but I won't have any part of what they do or believe.

Christians take the bible as the sole authority. Its guidlines for what is righteous in this life. Its strongly tells people to flee from witchcraft, and spiritual new age stuff..
it always has been that way.

if "they" are real christians, they are not afraid OF pagans, they are afraid FOR pagans,
because every true christian wants to make sure that you go to heaven through your saviour Jesus Christ
which other "religious or semi religious" system will give you a complete system of morals and explanations for everything and is based on the World's best selling book ever ... the bible ...
god bless you

Next to Islam, fundamentalist Christians are the most defensive, touchy and have the most fragile ego base of any religion I've ever heard of.

b/c in their feeble minds pagans represent immorality and evil (in reality, liberalism); aspects of life which the christian church has been trying to ignore and shun unsuccessfully for hundreds of thousands of years..they refuse to accept reality and attempt to punish those who threaten to corrupt their perfect little society

fear is not the right word, i dont fear you.
Romans 8:14-16 (King James Version)
14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Christians are egostistical. They fear or hate anyone who thinks differently than them.
