It isn't dead but it's on it's way to out. I think it's the job of other gentleman to educate other men. Of course they have to be willing. It'd be a shame if we were a last of breed.
It's interesting that you use the term gentleman and not nice guys. A gentleman, after all is that healthy middle between a tough guy and Mr. Nice Guy.

Yes, there are gentlemen.
The only one I know I'm with, and he's much older than I am.
The young ones are half the gentleman that he is, but it still exists.
My 12-yr-old son is giving me a hard time about holding the doors the right way, opening it up and standing all the way around it to give a clear path.
But, he does it for others with no problem, because Mama raised him right.
We women take the largest part in raising our sons.
Our society seems to think that enforcing standards against a child's wishes is tantamount to abuse.
There will be gentlemen again when both men and women insist on raising their sons right.
And raising girls to expect such treatment. And honor such treatment gracefully, returning the consideration not with sex but with ture kindness.

I believe you should first think over what you mean with romance. Is it those things men do to women, like bring flowers, write a poem, give a midnight serenade and stuff like that? Or are we just talking about whatever a person can do to another person to show the feelings inside? I mean romance in general comes in various forms, obviously there are people who just want sex and romance really doesnt have anything to do with that. Or not much atleast. For me, when there are feelings involved, it's a whole different ball game. I surprise that person, take her to places, do stuff together. Romance really does exist, it's just probably not in the form your looking for or then you're just hanging out with people who are in it for the wrong reasons.

no its not dead, and there are gentlemen out there but they are few. This day and age everything is fast and busy and the people show that well-even in the romance department.

I love romance, but the degree of romance is directly related to the amount of attraction I have for my inspiration.
Regardless, my freinds all say I'm a gentleman. You sort of stick out from the crowd when you aren't with the rabble.

yes but I'll tell it like my man dave tells it... romance and polite gentlemen are dead, cause yall ladies killed em, going after the bad boy who likes nice guys not a single women, so when you complain about where are the nice guys, I say, "im still right here" but your not gonna give him a shot, enjoy ponder and reflect on that

Nope. Still alive and kicking. I love watching my gf get a little uncomfortable when I open the car door for her or bring a rose to a date, etc. I know she loves it but she's not used to it, I guess. Easy points for me, and it's pretty cute when she blushes...
