Sounds like it may be time to get call blocking from your phone service provider. I have had the same problem and reported it to the FCC. I am on the Do Not Call list AND had my home phone number transferred to a cell phone. It is illegal to violate the DNC list but it is also illegal to use automated phone solicitation recordings, and yet I get both. Call blocking prevented repeat offenders for me.
I still report them to the FCC in hopes that they end up fined, which may discourage them!
By the way, if you are already on the DNC list, you should not have to follow any of their options to get on their personal list... they are mandated to use the National DNC list!

If youare in the US go to www.donotcall.gov and put your home and cell number on the "do not call" list. Most of the solicitations should stop

Register your number on the national do not call list: https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
Some states also have state Do Not Call lists -- you can search for your state and also register there -- although it isn't necessary to register on both.
Market Research, Non-Profit Charities, and Political Campaign calls are not restricted by the Do Not Call List. Also companies you are currently doing business with or you have previously done business with are exempt.

Go to DMAConsumers.org and if you get emails there's a link that allows you to get off the list and this site should help you to stop the annoying solicitor phone calls.

Ask them: What do you think would happen if you put a frog in a blender, when they answer tell them they are wrong.
or put them on hold for 5hrs while you go out and pound a few brews with your buddies
