Don't worry about how small she is. My fiancee has a german shepard that looked anorexic up until the last year and a half. But with the scabs, did you recently change her food. Becasue it could be a food alerge.

could be to do with what your feeding her as over 80% of skin complaints are due to what they are fed (normally cereal based diet which dogs cant digest easily), vet will probally give her antibiotics which will clear it up for a little while until the problem builds up again and the scabs appear again so end up in a vicious circle, try nutro, burns or wafcol, it could take upto a month to get it all right and might get worse before it gets better where the body is getting rid of all the toxins but well worth perservering! hope this helps, good luck! dont worry about size too much either as most are too big for old breed standard these days anyway.

If it turns out she's allergic to her food, you can try Butchers Tripe canned dog meat. The Tripe andChicken and tripe flavours are excellent for dogs with skin allergies, they have no additives. Add plain biscuit (cheap supermarket own brand is great, not the 'basted with meat juices' stuff), add a couple of nuggets of defrosted frozen spinach and a couple of tablespoons of defrosted frozen diced carrot.
She could also be allergic to her bedding, try plain cotton sheets and towels. Boil wash once a week with a very small amount of fairy non bio and no conditioner.
Fleas don;t live on your dog, they live on your carpet and in her bed! They jump on to feed then hop off again. So hoover regularly as well, and gently comb her every day with a fine comb to keep an on her skin.

she probably has the mange i had a german shepherd a few years ago that got it from another dog.... if its that you need to wash her regularly for a couple of weeks with medicated shampoo and the vet will probably prescribe some antibiotics for any open sores so they don´t get infected.... don´t worry im sure she´ll be fine!

it is ptobably a form of dermatis. German shepherds are prone to this. Could also be due to an allergy

may be shes picked up fox mange, its quite common,it travels on the feet of the fox and they may come into your garden at night or walk where you take your dog,you cann't see it or smell it so its quite easy for your dog to get.your trip to the vets should get it sorted they'll give you a medcin that takes a few days and a antibiotic,if you get stronghold from your vet, thats what they gave me for my dog,it also treats mights, fleas and worms.

It possibly could be ticks or some other parasite.
It could even be a form of eczema brought on by an allergy.
