The same liability as any other visitor who comes to the premises. A company's commercial general liability (CGL) policy will treat a visiting child like any other visitor.

You should read the company's policy carefully to see if allowed children are part of an exclusion.

Liability, ie, negligence, can't be absolutely determined prior to the lawsuit!!

BUT, in my opinion, it's a real problem. If the kids are injured on the premises, even if it's because the parent wasn't watching them, the employer's going to be responsible for medical payments, and possibly nonmonetary damages (pain and suffering). Then, you have the issue of kids running up and down and distracting other employees, or worse, taking stuff off their desks.

All in all, it's a pretty bad idea.

Depends on the job because if it's one of those bring your kid to work days some places like construction sites or factory jobs don't allow it due to the safety issues, but there's a liability yet it's not when parents are responsible to make sure their children stay in line and don't clown around.

they would be treated as "invitees" and a greater degree of care is required to protect them. i dont do legal! but any business owner should understand the exposures.
actually, unless the business is involved in manufacturing, shipping or some other hazardous occupation, having children visit parents on-site, in my opinion would indicate a caring concern for family ........dont you agree?
