Some people simply arent comfortable in silence. Personally I think that if you can sit in complete silence with someone that shows you are COMFORTABLE with them... conversation shouldnt be forced.

I'll answer that for a specific case. I have a friend (a cousin, actually) that normally isn't in a great mood, and she wasn't smiling either at the time, so I figured that was it. Had it been one of her sisters, or a different cousin, I might not be so quick to jump to such conclusions.

Silence is nothing. Some people just have a tendency to keep talking... And when you're driving you should definitely be quiet. Driving in silence is as good as being high, and not illegal.

Yea, i don't get it either... for some reason they feel uncomfortable or somethin. If it's right after a fight, then i'd understand the concern, but otherwise... yea. If ur past the point where u need to fill in the spaces... then y bother making up dumb conversations about the weather and stuff!?
People r just silly sometimes.

No it is not, and I totally understand your point. Sometimes it is easy just to remain silent to avoid confrontation, sometimes I dont want to talk because I dont have anything to say, sometimes I dont talk because I am deep in thought. But instead of assuming, I prefer people just ask me. Most often my anger will come when someone assumes I am angry, especially when I continue to say nothing is wrong with me and I just dont have anything to say.

In my eyes, the person not believing me tends to be someone wo is clingy and always needs affirmation of some sort and when I am not talking they feel they have done something wrong.

Silence is golden

It does have a tendency to make people nervous, though

Silence is Golden! You need self-reflection time which requires silence. Remember what ASSUME means... when you ***....u....me (makes an *** out of you and me when assumptions are made).

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

People love to assume a lot of things. Some people assume the weirdest things, and when you try to explain to them that it's not true they think you're acting weird. This is life..gotta live it with a lot of wierd people that think you're weird. Everyone thinks everyone's weird!
