I broke up with my ex boyfriend in January. The reason we broke was because he was doing way to many drugs. I havent talked to him since march becuase he moved away but I recently saw a picture of him and he looks so much better. He has just moved back to town. I can tell he isn't on drugs anymore. I think about him everyday and I still love him so much. We were together for 2 years. I am going to be staying at a friends this weekend who happens to live on the same street as him. So should I try and go talk to him? What should I say? Should I tell him I still love him and want to be with him?

I don't know how he feels becuase he really emotionaly fuc*ed up. When we first got together I got really drunk and then kissed one of my best friends. He found out and every day that we were together he told me how horrible of a person I was, but that he still loved me and couldnt live with out me.

This is a tough one, but I'll try to explain. In my own opinion, I think you should move on, that would be best for YOU. You can still be his friend, but I think he has a long road ahead of him. He will always be an addict, even when or if he fully recovers. Drugs have no place in a serious relationship, trust me I know from personal experience. Nothing like the person you love picking drugs (her drug of choice was cocaine) over you. If you decide to try and work things out with him, I'm afraid he'll only break your heart, I mean, hasnt he already?? Besides, giving an ex a second chance never works, and the break-up is worse than the first time. If you really want to work things out with him and no one can convence you otherwise, I would advise not to date him for a very long, long time. He is still a newbie at recovering and may relapse, and that could get ugly. The best advice I can give you is dont look back, keep on moving forward, because you deserve better, good luck!!

I personally wouldn't jump to anything just yet. I would just try to reconnect as friends to see where he is at this point of his life. It's been a long time since you two have been in contact. If you still feel some chemistry go for it. Tell him you loved him and never stopped.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

You need to play this by ear, if he is still hanging around some of the same people then I would say no, but after you get a feel for what is going on then you will truly know if he is still the one!
